North Vancouver: Gross sales for all units in June decreased relative to the gains in May, and were down 8% compared to the same period last year, and 18% year to date. The number of units sold in June this year was up ever so slightly at 1% relative to June 2018, however that figure is still down 15% year to date. For units listed, the declines continued as well compared to both April and May, as did the total number of active listings. Overall, this year has not been great year for North Vancouver compared to last year.
West Vancouver: Gross sales dollars for all units in June took a sharpe decrease compared to the two previous months, and were down 14% compared to June 2018. The number of units sold followed the same pattern with a decrease as well. The activity for detached homes slowed down in June with the number of units listed decreasing by 28%, and 21% for condos. Overall, the number of active listings continues to increase.
Sunshine Coast: The Sunshine Coast has several residential detached units remaining unsold for the last few months, with an additional 9% of new residential detached units in June 2019 compared to June 2018. In addition to this, year on year, 2019 to 2018, the Sunshine Coast has had a decrease of 22% in gross sales, 13% in units sold and 9% in average price per unit for residential detached.
